Getting hasseled while taking photographs in nothing new. I generally get hassled by people wondering why the hell I am photographing the ground, a wall or the sky.
I get asked to take a photo of the random passer-by quite often so I fake just to get them away from me.
I am sure I have had authorities called regarding "suspicious activities" more than once, whether taking photos on the campus of some random school or standing in the street photographing who knows what for a story about the same.
I have yet to run into the naziesque rent-a-cops or overly ambitious rookie that wants me to delete photos or attempts to tells I can't photograph where they have no jurisdiction. I have read many a story about such incidents. Today is I found one of the worst.
