In a world with companies like News Corp. we seem to be stepping closer and closer to a George Orwell reality.
News companies (for the most part) are run by partisan hacks and they are not providing the public with the truth or the news, just their version of such. This is something I have also experienced in my day to day.
I go out and gather the facts, write the story and turn it in for edit. I pick up the day's copy and look at "my" story and hardly recognize a word of it. I can only imagine the games that go on in the larger outlets.
The conglomerate news companies are spewing out "information" that sways people to the beliefs of the CEO. This is all done out of greed.
With the overwhelming growth of apathy amongst the public, they seek out the "news" from televisions. This way is convenient for them. You know, in between eating the steroid-injected beef in their value meal they got at a drive thru and watching the latest game show on Ti-Vo. With the 24-hour news networks flooding homes worldwide people are being brainwashed and poured into the mold created by the fabricator of each network's "news" for the day.
I for one am someone who seeks out the truth and an un-editorialized view of the world I live in. Some may be afraid of the truth.
The link today gives good fact to some issues that are plaguing the media today. I hope that you will read it all.
