I had imagined coming back to a giant crater as if the paper had imploded from my absence. Soon they will realize they have taken me for granted. and they will falter.
I had to put out a few fires which is nothing new for me.
Today was a bit disturbing walking into the office to find out their were three fatal wrecks. I was put on the job of covering them for todays copy but I had to get the details of the causes and the after effects from them for tomorrow.
In one accident a vehicle with six people rolled throwing two passengers out, one was killed another was take to Duke Med Center.
I wasn't at the scene of these wrecks today but I had a strong connection to them after my investigating.
While riding to the basketball games (tourney time!) I was thinking about the effects of this one particular accident on all the people involved and how that will change their lives.
I've been busy editing images form the weekend in my down time today. The weekend made me wanna move a bit closer to the world of non photojournalisc work in photography. I continue to find evidence that the world of photojournalist in going down the tubes faster and faster. I have had an idea of a co-op studio on the back burner for some time. Maybe soon it will be a reality. I feel their is more of a future for that but it comes with less on the humanitarian side.
