"Embrace the change."

Pic of the day 34/365
These daily posts are a example of the "free flow of information" available on the internet.

Much knowledge and education can be amassed from the various off ramps and rest stops on the information super highway. How you reap this lexicon of the world is for each to decide.

Chase Jarvis (www.chasejarvis.com) the awesomely humble, prolific adventure and lifestyle photographer recently wrote about the information at your fingertips. He writes about the idea of photographers spreading their work across the web. Creativity in the New Economy

"Embrace the change." Something I am working on. I am young, but I have to force myself to keep up with the others. I need to gain some knowledge on a bit more pieces of software in order to more competitive in the world today. Other than that I have a confidence in my abilities and works that I create. I maybe lacking a decent self-esteem, though I know that the work I produce is quality and that I am my harshest critic. That voice in my head keeps me from settling for less.
(The only way my work is selfish is to appease the voice, I only in competetion with myself. I am only keeping up with the others as much as I am keeping up with my self-motivated goals.)

It is hard for me to be given a responsibility and not attempt to make it my own or better it in some way. I strive for efficiency and quality. Though when I am producing a product or complete tasks/projects for one who is lackadaisical or apathetic about the results it brings frustration to me. Yes, this paragraph is directly related to something in my day to day. I just don't feel I should open this can of worms because I am really the only that would have to deal with it. So for now I will let this sleeping dog alone and wait it out.

When I tackle something I hope to be able to grow and learn from the experience I strive for the best in my abilities. I don't do it so everyone in the future will know that is my handy-work but for the fact of if something is worth doing it is worth doing right. Never do something for the sake of doing it.
