Pic of the day 69/365 I grew a bit scared for the future today while observing children attempt to layout a 3x10 grid with sidewalk chalk on a parking lot. These were middle schoolers and they were having trouble grasping the concept of simple measurements with a pre-measured length of string and a diagram of what was to be their finished product. Their assignment was to draw a species of whale, life-size within the grid they created. In my time there only one of the five groups completed the task. Though it wasn't without error, their whale was only half scale. Here is where I could comment on the state of public education and the dead end road many children have been set upon by their upbringing but, I will refrain, because this says it all
I have gained much of my knowledge through self-exploration fueled by an inquisitive nature. There is something in me that drives me to share what I know and see. Without going to deep into these matters I will cut to the chase. One major reason my motivation to create photographs is to share things with others, to inform them, to give reference, to motivate.
Maybe you have noticed in my daily snapshots that I am a fan of the infinite or that which seems to be and repetition of elements.
With that thought you may see why I found enjoyment in this slideshow. 10,000 Skiers
