"Hey picture-taker, move or squat down ... we paid $4 to get in here."
As if it isn't bad enough that I am assigned to photograph an 8-9 year old baseball game, I have to hear crap like this.
The first thing that popped into my mind was "Hey, I don't come to where you work and knock the mop out of your hand, so lay off me." But the though of the annoying comments that would come from the editor and publisher after they received a torrent of calls.
Another comment that came to mind was, "Fine I will not put your kid in the paper."
I was stunned by the insanity of the crowd at this event. The parents wanted the kids to win more than anything. I don't remember baseball being like this when I was a kid, nor do I remember parents paying a whopping $4 to see it.
Soon I will no longer be subjected the that twang and accent that send chills up my spine. Though I do have to give them credit for being so creative to mash two words together like "picture-taker."
WOW!, get me out of here.
Oh yea, some beautiful work.
