The internet responsibility at the paper seems to have taken alot of writing responsibility away from me. I don't know how to feel about this quite yet. I need to be versatile for the future. I am wanting multimedia projects to work on.
Today, I was listening to MarketPlace on NPR on my way to photograph something at the airport. On the show they spoke of how 60 million people who get their news online each day and how internet ad revenue has going up by something like 6% in the past year. Hearing these facts was a bit boggling. Why is my paper so behind in the times...?
I have been digging deep trying to think of some local stories to keep AP copy off the front page. I haven't been very successful in this. I believe I am just approaching it with a photographic viewpoint.
Although the images are not carefully honed and well planned, they are more snap shots for me but are lacking the aesthetic quality.
The link today is a Web 2.0 (if you will) project from a Canadian photographer. It consists of 20,000 still images. I do feel as though it was a little over done in after effects though it has a good message and images.
I have been considering a time lapse project in recent times, along with some other decent ideas floating around in the noggin.
20 days 20,000 images
