Alot of time on the computer for me today.
The new website launched today. Now the 10,000+ readers will be able too see more of my photos. This is a great move for the paper. I am no longer embarrassed to show others the site for my employer.
The site is a product of much tinkering from me to get items where they need to be. I've also needed show the others in the newsroom a thing or two about it. The next week will be for learning for the newsroom, a crash course in ftp (maybe even simple html). I have been put on the project of writing a story about the new site as well. The article will run next Monday. Many have caught on to the new site already and have posted comments and such.
I predict the posts this week will be short maybe just a photo. I can feel the many hours tinkering to get kinks out of the new system.
